Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Put that behind us. Let's pick up our mat. Let's move forward in faithfulness.
[00:00:04] Speaker B: His grace covers our failures.
[00:00:06] Speaker A: You will fall short.
[00:00:07] Speaker B: His grace covers our failures.
[00:00:09] Speaker A: You know, we can't be faithful without God. No, I don't really want to do my Bible study right now. Father, forgive me. If we expect God to be convenient, we have really missed the mark, right?
[00:00:23] Speaker B: Sacred life.
Sacred life.
Life.
The sac. Sacred life. Living a life. Living a life. Living.
Living a life. The sacred.
Welcome. Welcome. Before we get into things like subscribe, share, spread love. Share with somebody who you think would like us. You know, check us out. So today's topic is when I say the struggle of faithfulness. That's not what I said.
But I can't be faithful. Today's topic is I can't be faithful to God.
All right.
You don't like that?
Today's topic.
[00:01:14] Speaker A: I don't like the way that feels.
[00:01:15] Speaker B: I can't be faithful to God.
So the subtopic is struggling to be faithful and the struggle of faithfulness.
Okay. And so if y' all notice, if y' all tune into the last episode, we kind of tapped in some situations about cheating or whatever in the last episode.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:01:32] Speaker B: But this one, we're tapping in about being faithful to God.
[00:01:36] Speaker A: What's committed.
[00:01:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:01:39] Speaker A: Being by. Faithfulness. Yeah, Being committed. Being committed, you know, and that kind of sounds like a cop out that you can't.
[00:01:49] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:01:49] Speaker A: People say that.
[00:01:50] Speaker B: I was gonna say people say that all the time.
[00:01:52] Speaker A: Oh, that's just too strict. That's just too hard.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: I don't have time to pray. I can't. I don't have time to do all that reading. And I don't have time.
Nah. Yes, you do. You're lying. Well, you put effort to.
[00:02:05] Speaker A: Well, maybe they're lying. Maybe they're deceived. Okay.
[00:02:09] Speaker B: Still lying, though, ain't it?
[00:02:10] Speaker A: Well, no. They could be deceived. They could be deceived.
They're not lying. They've been fed a lie, and they're kind of.
[00:02:19] Speaker B: Okay, you're unknowingly lying.
[00:02:22] Speaker A: So really what we want to do is, is that we're challenging not only your thoughts, but our own thoughts and your language.
[00:02:31] Speaker B: That I don't have time to. I mean, change your language.
[00:02:35] Speaker A: So the reality of it is, is that we can't be totally faithful without the help of God.
[00:02:43] Speaker B: No.
[00:02:43] Speaker A: And the only reason why we have revelation that God is God and we are not is because the Holy Spirit has moved upon us and given us that revelation. That revelation. So if you have revelation that he is God.
That mean you've accepted Yeshua, then you are able to be faithful in and through the move of the Holy Spirit.
[00:03:05] Speaker B: Yeah. And it's His.
[00:03:06] Speaker A: His.
[00:03:06] Speaker B: His grace covers our failures.
[00:03:08] Speaker A: You will fall short.
[00:03:09] Speaker B: His grace covers our failures. So, yeah, we may not reach the amount of times that we're wanting to read a spit time or pray, but like we said, put in that effort to do it, you know, and as we put in that effort to do it and we be consistent about it, we'll build up momentum towards doing it, you know what I'm saying? But start trying to be.
[00:03:30] Speaker A: And disciplines.
[00:03:32] Speaker B: Yeah. So set aside a certain time. Like, you know what? Regardless, like, you know what?
I can't remember how long, think how long, but I get up in the mornings and the first thing I do is say a prayer before I touch my phone or anything. And it's like I've been being consistent with that. It's been. I don't know if it's one or two years now that I've done that, but that's what I've been doing every morning. And I will not touch my phone or anything until I say a prayer. And I thank y' all for waking me up or bless him or whatever, you know, so it's like setting that routine.
[00:04:05] Speaker A: Yeah. But I think we need to clarify. Okay, okay. Because, you know, the reality of it is, is that let's give God credit and put in and lift him high. And the reality of it is, is that, you know, we can't be faithful without God.
[00:04:21] Speaker B: No. Yeah.
[00:04:22] Speaker A: Okay.
But like I said again, like, if you have received Yeshua as your Lord and Savior, Jesus, you received him as your Savior, and you have yielded your heart to the word of God, the Holy Spirit will help you be faithful.
[00:04:40] Speaker B: Yeah. But you still have to do your part in a naturally.
[00:04:43] Speaker A: It's called co laboring. It's called aligning. So that, you know, it really goes back to like, you know, asking yourself, well, how can I set myself up for faithfulness?
[00:04:57] Speaker B: I like that.
[00:04:58] Speaker A: You know, the reality is we can't be faithful without God. We can't eat. We can't do nothing without God. But the. But we.
[00:05:05] Speaker B: We may think we can.
[00:05:06] Speaker A: No, no, no.
God's not looking for religious people. He's looking for relational people. But, you know, leaning in and asking him to transform our hearts and actually doing first repent.
[00:05:21] Speaker B: I mean, repent for falling short. For repent for those times that you put things before him.
[00:05:27] Speaker A: Well, you might want to expand our Repentance. Because a lot of times people think repentance is just saying, I'm sorry.
[00:05:32] Speaker B: No, Repentance is an action, actually.
[00:05:35] Speaker A: And a heart posture.
[00:05:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:36] Speaker A: And a heart posture and a mind. It's a mindset. It's an action and a heart posture all together. And what that. Yeah. So it's like recognizing the mindset is. Wait a minute, Father. For like. I don't really want to do my Bible study right now. Father, forgive me.
Okay. Help me to, you know, help me to have a greater desire for your Word. That's heart posture. Wanting the greater desire for his Word.
[00:06:02] Speaker B: Right.
[00:06:03] Speaker A: And then repenting by actually taking action. In the sense of reading the Bible anyway.
[00:06:09] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Just even if you tired, even if you. Whatever it is. Yeah. Just read it. Just do it. It don't take. You don't have to be five chapters.
[00:06:20] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean. Yeah. The thing is, is that we're going to all need to renew our minds daily. We're going to go from. We are called to go from glory to glory. There's going to be transformation that happens on our journey.
And this thing, if we say we can't be faithful, if we have that mindset, we're not going to live the sacred life.
[00:06:41] Speaker B: Right, Right.
But he's always faithful, despite all weaknesses, regardless. He's always.
[00:06:47] Speaker A: He's the faithful one. He's the true and faithful.
[00:06:49] Speaker B: Always. He is always faithful.
[00:06:51] Speaker A: But we see his disciples. We see Yeshua's disciples being faithful unto the death.
[00:06:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:06:59] Speaker A: And this was a mo. You know, we see. And you know, those people say, well, yeah, that's the New Testament. And, you know, he had the Holy Spirit, which is true.
But we also see in Old Testament prophets that are willing to die and did die for the word of the word of Yah.
[00:07:19] Speaker B: Yeah.
What I bring to people, that a lot of people don't like it. But Yeshua said that we would do even greater things than he did.
You know, saying a lot of people say, lying, I ain't Jesus. You ain't. I'm like, no. But he said we would do even greater things, you know, so it's like even more put upon us, you know.
[00:07:40] Speaker A: It'S like, well, and that's why we have to.
That's why our spiritual growth is so important. So, so many people are so focused on their, you know, their self instead of their spiritual development.
[00:07:59] Speaker B: Right.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: You know, so they're focused on, okay, how. How can I make more money? How can I have the best marriage? How can I, you know, have the best body?
But what about your spiritual.
[00:08:09] Speaker B: I'm working on a better body.
[00:08:11] Speaker A: Yeah. Right.
So, you know, like, what can I do to develop myself spiritually? And I'm not saying that this is a work of your own. It's a co. Laboring. It's aligning yourself with the word of God and doing it for his glory.
Okay.
So if you want to grow in faithfulness, do the disciplines and not banking on the disciplines. You know, some people put their confidence in the discipline. What you do is you put your confidence in.
In the Holy Spirit's ability to move and operate in your life.
[00:08:46] Speaker B: Right.
[00:08:47] Speaker A: So, you know, I just see this house. Like you got a house, and the Holy Spirit's at the door, and Holy Spirit's trying. It wants to get in. But you've got all this furniture blocking the door. Start moving some furniture, start picking up some trash. Maybe there's just trash all the way blocking the door. Like a hoarder's house.
[00:09:08] Speaker B: Gotta rearrange some things.
[00:09:09] Speaker A: And maybe you didn't put it there. Maybe, maybe someone. Maybe you're abused as a child.
Maybe you know, your spouse was abusive. Maybe you just had. You just really had it rough. Like you were raised in poverty and you've been through. Through this and you've been. Start, start.
[00:09:25] Speaker B: And that's what she said. That's what that stuff is that my trash, that block. Trash is all that stuff that's there. You have to move that stuff out the way. Because I don't know if you didn't really explain.
[00:09:35] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:09:36] Speaker B: I went into my picture to your detox thing.
[00:09:39] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:09:40] Speaker B: When she's saying that stuff that's in front of the door, the. The stuff that she's calling trash is those type of things that you've.
[00:09:48] Speaker A: That has. No, that it doesn't belong in the house of God.
[00:09:53] Speaker B: Right.
[00:09:53] Speaker A: You are the temple of the most high God.
[00:09:55] Speaker B: Doesn't have to be there.
[00:09:56] Speaker A: It doesn't. It doesn't have to be there. And it can hinder. Yeah. And it hinders our move, our ability to move in the spirit.
[00:10:03] Speaker B: I was watching something today with Darius Daniels, and he was saying something about that. It's like you're in your house and you're trying to walk in the dark.
[00:10:14] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:14] Speaker B: So you're walking.
[00:10:15] Speaker A: Turn on the lights.
[00:10:16] Speaker B: You're walking the lights. But you got to get to it. So you're walking slower because you're in the dark, you know, saying. But you need to be able to see to be able to move swiftly and know what's going on. So. Yeah. Like you said, turn on the lights. But you gotta.
[00:10:27] Speaker A: And that's knowing the word.
[00:10:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:10:29] Speaker A: The word of God. Knowing the word of God will have you. You will be able to know where you're going even in the midst of darkness.
[00:10:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
It's like in our house. I know I could just get up in the dark and just walk my eyes closed, but. Somebody got a shoe or something?
Yeah. I mean, you're in trouble. You're going to stumble over stuff or something.
[00:10:47] Speaker A: You gotta go slower.
[00:10:48] Speaker B: We have to be careful because the things are going to be put in the place and put in front of us in our way.
[00:10:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:53] Speaker B: Even if, you know.
[00:10:54] Speaker A: Yeah. And our. And our faithfulness will be tried and tested. And it's not.
It's not to set us up for failure. It's there for refinement. It's there for growth, you know, because you really think about it. I mean, Abraham, his faithfulness was really put to the test.
[00:11:13] Speaker B: Oh, man. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:11:15] Speaker A: And he was found faithful. Abraham was found faithful.
But you know, God sets us up. He sets us up for the win. The question is, will we align with it?
[00:11:25] Speaker B: Secret society. What up? What up? Are you serious about taking your overcoming to the next level?

It's hard at times too. It ain't gonna be easy.
[00:12:56] Speaker A: No. Well, I mean. And that's why you. That's why you really have to turn that carnal man off. Because eternal man wants it on the. On. On his time, what's comfortable for him.
He wants his little schedule and routine, and it doesn't work that way.
[00:13:10] Speaker B: Well, I feel jabs in this.
[00:13:12] Speaker A: It's true. Is it true? Is it true, though?
[00:13:16] Speaker B: Yeah, it's true. It's true. Goodness.
[00:13:18] Speaker A: I'm saying it to somebody out there that needs to hear it.
[00:13:21] Speaker B: Yeah, I bet you are. I am, but praise y'. All. So. Yeah.
[00:13:25] Speaker A: Because God is worthy.
[00:13:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:28] Speaker A: And if you, you know, if we expect God to be convenient, we have really missed the mark.
[00:13:33] Speaker B: Right.
And we have to find he's God in Christ.
[00:13:37] Speaker A: He's king, changes us.
[00:13:39] Speaker B: It's fun finding our identity in him, you know what I'm saying? And then operating in it, walking in it, you know, seeking him on what is what we're supposed to be doing.
[00:13:49] Speaker A: Hallelujah.
[00:13:53] Speaker B: I kind of forgot what the title was. We were going.
Oh, yeah. Faithfulness. Goodness gracious. So one of the scriptures I got with that is Proverbs 24:16.
It says for the right. Oh, was this last?
[00:14:07] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:14:09] Speaker B: For the righteous falls seven times, arises again, but the wicked stumbles in times of calamity.
So that's. Yeah, I mean, being faithful. So, yeah, you're going to fall, but.
[00:14:21] Speaker A: Get back a little tripsies.
[00:14:22] Speaker B: Yeah, you're gonna trip, but you won't.
[00:14:25] Speaker A: Isn't there.
Yeah, there's a script, there's a translation that says that he won't fall headlong or something like that.
[00:14:32] Speaker B: Right.
[00:14:32] Speaker A: So we're not gonna fall. We're gonna. We may fall, but we're not gonna fall onto total destruction.
[00:14:37] Speaker B: Right? No.
[00:14:38] Speaker A: Mm.
[00:14:39] Speaker B: Yeah.
So, yeah, like I said, like I said, we must. Did I said that we must keep preaching, pushing forward. Find something or someone to help encourage you, to give you that push you need. You know what I'm saying? Like, I got Anna. She said, I don't like all the pushes sometimes or the encouragement.
[00:14:59] Speaker A: He's not easy to push.
[00:15:01] Speaker B: Oh, I don't like it. But I mean, when I do, the thing is, I do sit and I listen. So when something said. I mean, I like it, but it's like, you know what? Okay, you're right. All right. So it's like, you have to take that encouragement and make sure it's the right encouragement from the right people. Now, you can't take it from everybody. Everybody's worried. In the good word Everyone that encouraged. All encourages aren't good encourages. Because I've heard some encouragement for people say, whoa, wait a minute. No.
[00:15:28] Speaker A: Yeah, you know, yeah, if, you know, if people encourage you to settle and we're called to be.
[00:15:36] Speaker B: Movers and shakers.
[00:15:37] Speaker A: Yeah.
We were called to desire greater glory for. Of. For God upon the earth as it is in heaven. And if somebody says, oh, it's okay, just stay, stay down. They don't. They may not say it that way. They may say, it's okay, just.
[00:15:54] Speaker B: It's all right, it's all right.
[00:15:55] Speaker A: Like, no, God must be glorified and magnified even more. So, yeah.
[00:16:02] Speaker B: You think about it. People do say that. Like, sorry, take your time, get yourself together.
[00:16:06] Speaker A: No, get up.
[00:16:07] Speaker B: No, you better get up and run. Don't take your time. Don't get yourself together.
[00:16:11] Speaker A: Get up.
[00:16:12] Speaker B: You know how you see people renaling and getting dressed, putting on stuff and trying to keep moving? That's what you need to do, keep moving while you don't sit down. And.
[00:16:18] Speaker A: No, because we see Yeshua on the scene with the man, the man with the mat. And the man says, well, you know, the water is only moving at certain times, and I keep missing it. And he's been. He's like, I can't even remember. He's older.
[00:16:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:16:33] Speaker A: And he's been waiting for an opportunity. Was it 30 something years to get in this water? And Yeshua doesn't say, it's okay, maybe next time.
[00:16:42] Speaker B: No, it's like, what's.
[00:16:43] Speaker A: Yeah, kick your mat and get moving.
[00:16:45] Speaker B: Yeah, man. And that's.
[00:16:50] Speaker A: So maybe you haven't been faithful in the past.
Let's put that behind us. Let's pick up our mat. Let's move forward in faithfulness and be determined. Never give up on being faithful towards the Lord. And you may find yourself doing those things that you don't want to do. Get to the root of the pattern of. If you've got a sin that you keep just kind of falling into, get to the root of that. Do I need healing?
Do I need community?
Do I need deliverance? Do I need to grow deeper in my understanding of a particular scripture or concept? You know, you may need all of those.
[00:17:31] Speaker B: All the above.
[00:17:32] Speaker A: And honestly, if you need deliverance, you need healing.
[00:17:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: Because, you know, the reason why we need deliverance is sometimes there's something in our minds, our soul, our soul realm that needs.
It needs healing. It needs a truth. It needs a greater.
A greater truth and some lies taken out, which is part of the deliverance part.
So you can and will be faithful. We're going to. Let's just impart that to our listeners. You can and will be faithful because you're overcomers. And that's what overcomers do.
[00:18:02] Speaker B: That's what you do.
[00:18:03] Speaker A: That's what you do. That's what you do. Because God has made you sacred. He has set you apart. It is by his work that you are sacred ones.
[00:18:12] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:18:14] Speaker A: Yeah. It's by his work that you're sacred by him.
[00:18:17] Speaker B: So because you can't do it on your own.
[00:18:18] Speaker A: No. By the blood of the lamb and the testimony of your faith and not loving your own life.
Now that right there is that part of the math equation, is that maybe you're loving your own life. Maybe there's a death of self that needs to happen.
Yeah, maybe, like, well, that's the way I always have been. And you are attached to the past version of yourself.
[00:18:44] Speaker B: Right, right.
[00:18:46] Speaker A: Got put away those childish ways.
[00:18:48] Speaker B: Got to change some changes.
[00:18:50] Speaker A: You know, as Paul, When I, when I was a child, I spoke like a child, like, you know, but then I, I'm mature and I put away my child's race. So sometimes we want to be in last season, and that is compromising our faithfulness.
[00:19:01] Speaker B: It's holding us back.
[00:19:03] Speaker A: Can't hang out with the same people.
You can't think the same way.
You can't speak the same way.
[00:19:12] Speaker B: Yeah. It'll hold us back and it holds back from what God has for us. You know what I'm saying?
[00:19:18] Speaker A: And for others.
[00:19:18] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:19:19] Speaker A: Because other people's destiny is tied to you.
[00:19:21] Speaker B: To you. You. Yeah.
[00:19:22] Speaker A: So don't ever, ever think, oh, it's just me that's going to be impacted.
[00:19:27] Speaker B: That you're going through. Usually the stuff that you go through is not for you.
[00:19:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:19:32] Speaker B: Usually what you go through is for somebody else.
[00:19:34] Speaker A: You got to be faithful.
[00:19:35] Speaker B: Watching, learning you. It's usually what you go through is not for you.
[00:19:38] Speaker A: Yeah. You have to be faithful because you carry legacy with you.
You, you carry kingdom advancement in you. Right. And so, you know, a lot of times the enemy's just hoping that we think, oh, it's just me. And maybe we think, okay, well, I'm willing to take one for me. I'm willing just to. I'm willing to take the loo. Just the loss for me, like, I won't get up. I won't be faithful. But when you look at the broader. Ask the broader point here, the greater point here, and that is, is that there are people who are waiting for you to show up.
[00:20:13] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. People counting on you, depending on you, and you don't.
[00:20:19] Speaker A: You didn't even know it.
[00:20:20] Speaker B: No idea.
[00:20:21] Speaker A: Future generations, I mean, it's the same thing with people who spend. They think about themselves and they spend all of their. All of their life income on themselves.
They don't think about the future generation. They just living their life thinking it's just about them. Then the next generation that comes behind them, they're still. They're climbing. They're trying to climb up this muddy. This money heal.
[00:20:43] Speaker B: Yeah. Where you could have set the pace.
[00:20:45] Speaker A: You could have sat, you could have blessed.
So go and be thankful.
[00:20:50] Speaker B: Let's end on First John 1 and 9. If we confess our sins one to another, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[00:21:04] Speaker A: I was gonna say iniquity. Which one is.
[00:21:06] Speaker B: Same thing.
First John 1:9.
[00:21:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:10] Speaker B: So confessing because he's faithful.
[00:21:13] Speaker A: Yeah. And I guess I'm quoting one of the epistles where we are. If we confess our sins one to another.
Which one is that?
[00:21:25] Speaker B: I know what you're talking about.
[00:21:26] Speaker A: Yeah. But it goes with First John. Yeah, yeah. He's faithful.
So there's really no excuse for being unfaithful because God is willing to.
Whom he sets free is free indeed. And who he forgives, he forgives.
[00:21:41] Speaker B: And so he's standing there like this with his hand out, waiting on you. The thing is, we have to turn around and see the hand acknowledge it, walk towards it. We have to do our part to get towards it, to get there to.
[00:21:51] Speaker A: It, because He's God.
[00:21:52] Speaker B: We got to move towards it. We got to do our part in the natural.
[00:21:55] Speaker A: Oh, you're created in his image. We have free will.
[00:21:57] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:21:58] Speaker A: And we. And God has created us to have power.
He's created us to subdue and have dominion. And he has restored. Yeshua, has restored that power to us that was taken in the garden.
And so just keep that in mind, you know, on your sacred journey, you're. You're going to fall short and you gotta be.
I say okay with that. I don't mean okay like, oh, well, you know, we need to be sober and alert, but we have to make peace with the fact that we need a Savior.
[00:22:33] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:22:34] Speaker A: We've got to make peace with that. We need a Savior.
And we can rejoice in the fact that we have a Savior.
And our desire should be to walk with the Lord, be unified with the Lord, but knowing that he is. He's reconciled us. He is our redeemer yeah, he is. He is our redeemer. So if you've cheated up.
[00:22:55] Speaker B: Yeah, if you cheated, you screwed up.
[00:22:58] Speaker A: Your redeemer lives.
[00:23:00] Speaker B: Yes.
And you are still sacred. All right.
[00:23:03] Speaker A: All right.
[00:23:04] Speaker B: So turn around, get back on that track. Keep running that race. All right.
So until next time. Live life. Sacred. Peace.
[00:23:12] Speaker A: Shalom.
[00:23:14] Speaker B: Living the life. The sacred.
Sacred.
